About the Artist

My name is Katie Anne! I’m a 29 year old neurodivergent artist, teacher, wife, mom, and activist. I’m from Arizona, but sometimes you’ll also find my art in Texas. My entire life has revolved around creating. My professional art career began almost five years ago, when my life changed completely. In 2019 motherhood found me, leading to my resignation from teaching elementary school. I saw an exciting opportunity become a stay-at-home-mom while also embracing my lifelong passion for art, and sharing that art with others. This dream goes back further than I can remember. As a child playing with my Dad’s old camera, I found a guide and taught myself how to use Photoshop (before I even had a phone)! Photography and animation became my favorite things. You could always find me on Tumblr/Myspace sharing my creations and making photoshop tutorials. Fast forward to University and community college- I studied graphic design alongside any other art courses I could find. Once I decided to start selling my art, nothing could stop my endless ideas for growth. Kates Groovy Gallery was then born, which eventually blossomed into GallerybyKAS! Starting with local orders along with Etsy sales, to growing my Tiktok audience- and now my own website. I’ve officially sold my art to over 200 people, in almost all 50 states and several countries! I am so grateful for each and every person who has been apart of this journey. I now focus on my favorite mediums, which are mural/canvas painting and digital design- but am always studying new methods and experimenting with more mediums. As a teacher, I truly believe lifelong education is key to happy and healthy growth.
